Adoption Bio: My name is Dakota, they say im rescued but im not sure why? I have had a pretty great life so far, although i am told my mom was once abandoned outdoors and taken in just before she gave birth to me and my siblings. I was lucky enough to not be born outdoors and was born into a really nice warm, loving foster home where we all had plenty of toys and food. I am now in a new foster, my siblings and mom were adopted but i'm still looking for a home to call my own. Right now i'm with 2 dogs and another cat, i really enjoy playing with everyone and then cuddling up for snuggle sessions with my foster dad. He says i'm really affectionate, but i just really like cuddles and giving kisses, it's how i was raised. I love toys, lots of 'em and playing with my foster siblings - especially the pups. I'm pretty easy going and just happy anywhere where there are toys, friends and a warm lap i can curl up on. I would sure love to find a home of my own and promise to pay you back with a whole lot of kisses!

Adoption Bio: My name is Dylan, or Dilly-Willy as my foster mum calls me, but please just call me Dylan. My mum says i'm full of trouble, but i'm really just always up for a good adventure. I like biting toes, climbing curtains, tipping over water glasses, pouncing on my foster mum when she sleeps and tackling my foster sis - they call her a dog? Just you're average teen-age kitten i guess. I was originally bought from a pet-store and then abandoned less that 24 hours later when the woman who bought me realized i was sold with a life-threatening disease - Panleukopenia. They were talking about euthanizing me, i was feeling pretty crappy and hopeless, but thankfully this rescue i had never heard of or met decided to try and save me. It was no easy feat, 4 blood transfusions, weeks of intensive care hospitalization, and a few thousand dollars later i was good as new (You can see my rescue and recovery in this viedo - click here). I just wish that pet-store had vaccinated me, to prevent me from having to go through this to begin with. I am sure lucky, and know it, but all the other kittens at the pet-store, as long as they sell animals, will not be. Anyways, enough about me, tell me about you - maybe you make space for me in your home and heart? |

Date Rescued: September 19/2010 Date adopted: November 6/2011
Adoption bio: Introducing Stella! A approximately 4 year old, four paw de-clawed kitty cat dumped outside during moving season. The street cats told her which door to meow at, and sure found the right one! She took refuge at a long time ElevenEleven volunteer's porch, she is now getting spoiled rotten in foster care and just passed her health evaluation today! She has a very broken tooth with root exposed at risk of creating an abscess (and painful to her) we will need to book an appointment with our veterinarians to have it removed before adoption. She is independent, but still very affectionate, and vocal! She may not like to curl up on your lap but she is very happy to sit next to you on the couch and purr up a storm while you watch hockey! (p.s she's a habs fan, obviously).
Post adoption update: Stella is doing great - she warmed up to me pretty quick, and got along great with my parents and a couple of friends who came by to meet her. She's using the litter box without problem, and is happily chattering away at me as we speak (I'm working from home today). She's not too fond of me pilling her, but she didn't want the pill wrapped in cheese or dipped in yogurt, so I have to do it the hard way, unfortunately. She has claimed her spot on my bed when I'm not here, and loves the little window sill I have in the living room. I haven't found a toy that keeps her interest for longer than a couple of minutes at a time yet, but I'm determined - she needs the exercise, and I don't think she'll be jumping in to do a workout video with me :) |

Reason Rescued: Micha was born to a feral cat outdoors in Saint Eustache and was rescued along with her sister, Nikita and mother Astrid. She was in foster care for well over a year before being adopted by her second foster home. She is still very scared of new people, but when it comes to her adoptive mum she is a total love bug.

Reason Rescued: Joey was abandoned with his sister Marmalade in the middle of winter outdoors as kittens, unfortunately they spent the entier winter outside until we were able to rescue them together in June. Joey and Marmalade were then fostered together and lucky enough to also be adopted together! She have seen eachother through some tough times, and are now able to enjoy the good times together and the rest of their lives, together.

About Me: LaPetit and his siblings were born outdoors and living under a balcony before they came to us. Now these 8 week old darlings are well-socialized, playful, active kittens. LaPetit is the bravest of the bunch: always the first to explore new things and lead his siblings on an adventure. He likes to get into everything. He'll be a handful, but he's just as full of love as he is of curiosity, and it's all worth it when he falls asleep in your lap!
Le Petit is up-to-date with routine shots, De-wormed, Feline Aids & Leukemia tested negative, litter trained, microchipped and sterilized. |

Reason Rescued: Alice and Jeremy were born outdoors and living under a balcony before being rescued.
Post adoption update: Everything is going really well. The kittens are just adorable, they have adapted really well to their new home. As soon as they got out of their carrier the first day, they were running around the place and explored all over, and just in a few hours they had already found their own favorite spots on the sofa. They are eating and drinking well and using their litterbox without any accidents. They have already gotten bigger since when we visited to see them, they grow up so fast! We got them a drinking fountain and they love it. Alice was a bit skeptical about it to start with because of the sound and the moving water but she adapted pretty quickly to it, so now she's using it with no problems. She seems to be a bit jumpy around things that makes sounds, specially if it's loud. We got them a toy mouse that makes a sound when they bat it, but she's terrified of it so I had to hide it away, Jeremy is a bit braver so he did not have any problems with it. They love to chase each other all over the place, and seem to have a lot of fun together! Jeremy loves to jump up on my shoulders and just hang out there while I do stuff, it's really funny. We've given him the nickname Mr. Snuggles, because he just loves to snuggle and give kisses. They are just a bundle of fun, we love them so much!

Reason Rescued: Nelson is a young, polydactyl, tuxedo cat who has more personality than any profile could cover. He was taken in by Eleven Eleven as a kitten back in June, and was adopted but then returned after it was discovered that life in a small apartment as the only pet was not for him. Nelson is social, social, social! He loves dogs, cats, and people, and is just full of playful, positive kitten energy. He loves to play, and this handsome boy is always ready to give you some loving. He's also very much like a Siamese cat (even in looks, with his long tail and slender body)—he loves water, people, and talking up a storm! Nelson is like a labrador in a cat's body: he's friendly, playful, and won't be ignored! What an amazing cat.
Nelson is an amazing cat, just full of life and love. He must be adopted into a home with other pets. See why two cats are better than one here.
Nelson is up-to-date with routine shots, De-wormed, Feline Aids & Leukemia tested negative, litter trained, microchipped and neutered.

Rescue Story: Pixie's (the white and grey cat snoozing) owners could no longer keep her after their child developed allergies, but she was great with the children and loves having kids around. This amazing cat is also great with other cats and dogs—in fact she's even okay with her foster's hamsters! This kitty loves everyone. Pixie is special not only because of her sweet nature, but because of her extra toes, making her a pretty polydactyl! Pixie was with us for a long time before somebody decided to adopt this amazing 4-year-old cat. We're so happy her new family cared more about her personality than her age!
Post Adoption Update: "Hi there, a little update on Pixie, now Gnocchi (we had a cat named Pixie before, and she also reminds us of a fluffy little dumpling!). She's a super sweet cat and is doing really well. She was quite shy at first and slightly alarmed by our two young male cats and their playful midnight wrestling and chasing, but is really starting to come out of her shell. As you can see from the photos, she's feeling pretty comfy and at home these days, although she really isn't much help folding the laundry. In any case, we love her and are happy to have a sweet girl cat again. Thanks for your wonderful work, and for the kind foster homes who cared for her along the way. Gnocchi sends her love!"

Rescue Story: Tom and Molly's mother, Josephine, was dumped outside in the cold in the late days of her pregnancy. Lucky for her, a kind neighbour brought her in, preventing these kittens from being born on the streets. Tom and Molly are very attached and needed to be adopted together, but luckily they've found a great home, ready to take on two adorable, Persian-x kittens.
Post Adoption Update: Tom and Molly are thriving in their new home, living on in their mother, Josephine's, memory. Molly is now the spitting image of her mom, and both cats are growing like weeds! Their new family says both cats are very happy.

Rescue Story: At 4 months old, Miley was brought to the vet to be euthanized for being too loud. She was purchased from a pet store (which declawed all 4 of her paws), but her owner clearly had not done any research into the breed. As any Siamese cat owner knows, these cats are VOCAL! Miley is also very energetic and playful and pushy—pros for most cat owners, but cons for some. She's an amazing cat who loves kissing, cuddling and playing—she's the perfect cat really! Miley was adopted by a great home who were looking for a loving, energetic, high-maintanence cat. Both Miley and her new family are very lucky!
Post Adoption Update: "Miley's been doing great, and thanks to her cat dancer she's been playing all day! She's not loud at home at all, only in the car. She had no problem adapting to her new home either. That cat brings a lot of life to the apartment, and thats exactly what we needed. Oh yeah, she also started to move her bed around! Thanks again!" |

Rescue Story: Luna is one of six cats removed from a hoarding situation where she was living with at least 16 other cats in a very small room in bad conditions. This gorgeous cat stands out with her half-painted face and beautiful black and white markings—she looks like a gorgeous, kitty-version of the Phantom of the Opera! It took her a while to learn that humans could be kind, but now that she's been in a loving foster home she's learned to love being pet; she now demands regular chin scratches and rewards all attention with purrs. Thank you so much to her amazing foster who was so patient with her—waiting more than a month for Luna to let her pet her—and who deserves 100% of the credit for saving this cat; turning her into a cuddly family member. Luna was the first hoarder cat to be adopted from 11-11!
Read about Luna's rescue here.
Post Adoption Update: Luna is doing great in her new home, coming around slowly but surely, and her new mom is just thrilled with her!

Rescue Story: Rosie was abandoned outside a few years ago and somehow managed to survive by eating whatever she could find in the garbage. This poor girl never joined a cat colony and therefore missed out on the food that was left out for them by kind neighbours in the area, instead shrinking to fur and bones while living all alone. She had at least one litter of kittens but none of them survived the brutal conditions on the street, and Rosie herself was hit by a car and suffered internal injuries that were eventually fixed with surgery. Lucky for her (and for the home that adopted this beautiful cat!) a good Samaritan realized that Rosie was not feral and brought her in off the streets to be cared for. Rosie is shy and quiet, but she's also sweet and loving, and her new forever family was able to see this part of her and will be rewarded with years of love and companionship.
Post Adoption Update: Rosie's new family is so happy to have her and is glad they chose an adult cat over a kitten.

Rescue Story: Nikita was born to a feral cat outdoors in Saint Eustache and was rescued along with her sister, Micha. This beautiful little kitten was lucky to be avoiding a cold winter trying to survive outside. On her first night with her foster she was purring and sleeping under the bed covers with her temporary family. She clearly wasn't meant to be a skittish feral cat! We're so happy Nikita has finally found a forever family to call her own.
Post Adoption Update: Nikita is settling in very well to her new home.

Rescue Story: Ferrell is a sweet kitten who was removed from a feral cat population. After lots of training and socialization by his fosters, Ferrell was 100% socialized! Ferrell quickly went from scared street kitten to social butterfly in his wonderful foster home, and thanks to her hard work he has now found his forever home where he has a brother of similar age to exhaust all his kitten energy with!

Rescue Story: Jack was born into the rescue after his mother, Josephine, was brought in off the street when she was very pregnant. Jack is full of energy and trouble: he's a mischevious, rambunctious, bold kitten, who will grow up into an even greater cat.
Post Adoption Update: "Just wanted to give you an updated photo of Jack (his mother was Josephine and his siblings are Molly and Tom)....He is doing fantastic! He and my daughter are the perfect match - he is still full of energy and so is she but it is really nice to see that, although he likes to use his claws to get his message across, he is very patient with her.
As for his relationship with our Golden, Indiana, although they are not "best friends", they have total respect for each other's space. It is really funny to see however that when Jack is in a playful mood, he likes to run for Indiana's tail!
Thanks again for all you've done!
Andrea and family"

Rescue Story: Patches was put up through 11-11 as a courtesy listing. She's a year old and great with kids. Patches was adopted by a great family looking for a new cat in their lives.
Post Adoption Update: "Patches is doing well. She has a favorite hiding spot - under the green sofa in the living room - but she has been out most of the day. She is rubbing herself against us and the furniture. She watched us have dinner (salmon) on the dining room table!! She has purred. And, meowed to speak to us. She seems happy! Cat and dog have met. Sandy is very easy going so she wagged her tail. After a few hours, they now can look at each other, nose to nose without any problems. They can keep each other company which is nice. Patches had a good night - visiting us sometimes. She enjoys looking out the windows (many many windows). She even slept on one of the radiators where I had laid out a towel. So warm!" |
