Color: Apricot Size: Small Sex: Female
ID Number: CA1128 Date Rescued: Sept 26/2011 Approximate Breed: Toy Poodle My foster mum says: She's great with cats, she basically just ignores them unless they try to start to play with her like my cats do. My cats are both either bigger than her or her size, so they're totally non threatened by her, but so are most animals!! Squirrels and other cats, even small sparrows often don't shy away from her whatsoever when we go for walks, she just doesn't have a malicious bone in her body! She will play with other dogs and stuff though, but she's extremely non threatening. She's great with kids, but gets sort of annoyed or exhausted when they're too grabby and kind of just wants to get away from them. But kids and adults approach her ALL the time on the street and she loves the attention! She is absolutely one of the sweetest dogs I know, despite all she must have been through. She LOVES to cuddle and will sleep in your arms for hours at a time either in bed or on the computer or at your feet. She doesn't have any bladder retention issues, she just needs to be on a good schedule of feeding and going outside. She also isn't one of those dogs who pees when they're nervous or excited, it's just that she was probably kept in a cage most of her life so she doesn't fully understand yet that you shouldn't go on the floor. With her three legs she is very mobile but she can only do a maximum of three stairs so far, and I kind of doubt that will change. Otherwise she loves to run around, even bolt around in big circles with so much joy in her tiny little body that you'd think she'd start flying! Because her vocal chords are cut, when she barks it sounds liek a funny whisper. Even then, she rarely ever barks. She often makes these reallllllly cute little grunting noises though when you pick her up or when she's playing or getting settled in to cuddle. Requirements for adoption: Willing to continue house training her Roro is up-to-date with routine shots, microchipped, treated for worms and fleas, has learned basic obedience, working on house training and sterilized.
